Festival 2024

15th-16th March, 2024

Clayton Hall Academy, Newcastle, ST5 3DN

Newcastle under Lyme Festival is an annual event, organised by volunteers, which provides a valuable performance opportunity in speech, drama, and music. We aim to provide a well organised and enjoyable festival; a platform for amateur performers of any age, from far or near, to demonstrate their talents.

A Word

from the Chair

Dear Festival Supporters,

The 2024 Festival will take place in just one venue this year and we are grateful for the help and support that we receive from everyone at Clayton Hall Academy.

There will be High Scorers’ Concert on Saturday 27th April 2024, 7pm, at St. Luke’s Methodist Church in Clayton and tickets will be on sale from the end of March. The performers at this concert will be those invited to take part because they scored a high mark at the festival.

I would like to thank the Trustees and committee members for their hard work during the past year, and also thanks to every volunteer who gives their time to enable the Festival to run smoothly.

2031 will be our centenary year and we are already thinking ahead about how we can celebrate this. Please let us know if you would like to help us by joining a small planning committee to collect and later display papers, pictures, old trophies, etc.  Also, please sort out any photographs or other papers that would be suitable as part of our display. (

With best wishes,

Liz Richardson
