    We aim to hold these classes on the Friday. The time allowed includes time taken for tuning. Accompaniment is permitted for those under 15 years.  If a festival accompanist is required this should be stated on the entry and the music sent to the Entries Coordinator at the time the entry is made, to arrive before entry closure. Winners' trophies will be held for one year.

  • Guitar

    We aim to hold these classes on the Saturday of the music weekend. Performers may be accompanied or unaccompanied and an official festival accompanist is available for age classes up to 15 years.   If a festival accompanist is required this should be stated on the entry and the music sent to the Entries Coordinator at the time the entry is made, to arrive before entry closure. Winners' trophies will be held for one year.

  • Woodwind (except...

    We aim to hold these classes on the Friday.   The time limit includes time taken to tune. Performers under 15 years may be accompanied by a Fetival Accompanist.     Classes for strings could be held on the Friday or Saturday of the music weekend.  The time limit includes time taken to tune. Performers under 15 years may be accompanied by a Festival Accompanist.   • Brass

    THE LIONS BRASS TROPHY

    The Lions Brass trophy will be awarded to the most promising player of a brass instrument at the festival.  The award may be to a soloist or to a player in a group or band and may not necessarily be to the winner.

    The Adjudicator's decision will be taken after completion of all classes involving brass.
